Musée Rodin

Musée Rodin: This museum, dedicated to the artist Auguste Rodin (1840-1917)you will find in Hôtel Biron, a great house, which is placed in a beautiful park, which exhibits some of Rodin's sculptures.  This is probably one of the most peaceful museums in Paris, right next to Les Invalides.Hôtel Biron was originally a house Rodin rented in 1908, where he created some of his world-famous sculptures. Two years after his death in 1917, the Hôtel was opened to the public. Among the approximately 300 sculptures housed in this museum, are many of the most famous ones.

In the park you will find sculptures such as La Porte de l'Enfer, Bourgeois de Calais, Le Penseur and Balzac. From the park you can see the tip of the Eiffel Tower and the dome of Les Invalides. The park also has a cafeteria, which is not bad.

The museum also exhibits the works of Camille Claudel. She Rodin's student and later she became His mistress, a relationship that came to an end in 1898; today Camille Claudel is just as known for her work as for being Rodin's mistress.
